There are three key ingredients to what make The Pines an AWESOME experience for all ages:
In the middle of all the fun we have at camp, we sprinkle different spiritual activities in throughout the day. Our age-specific spiritual programming includes morning prayer, a Bible study with skits and games called “Power Club”, great talks by special guests, mens’ and womens’ sessions, opportunities for confession, adoration and praise & worship in our chapel, and to top it off, “Winners’ Circle” in the cabins at night (heart-t0-heart talks about life and faith with the counselors and campers in the cabin).
Our Catholic identity is at the heart of our ministry. Campers have the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Jesus every day through . The experience of Mass, Reconciliation, adoration, and praise & worship at camp helps to make an impact that will stay with them for a lifetime. Our goal is to give youth the confidence and the strength they need to continue their faith journey and to help them foster healthy vocations. We are excited to share the teachings of the Catholic Church with all who come and experience The Pines in a refreshing and welcoming way in the beautiful outdoors!
The Pines is a traditional summer camp, and that means tons of fun activities! A list of what we offer can be found on our activities page. Each day, campers will be able to participate in 3-4 activities in addition to the other fun staples of camp that include a night game (capture the flag, the “Animal Game”, “Grannie’s Candies”, the “Spy Game”, and more), an all-camp Wednesday night dance, and a Friday full of messy activities with water balloons, shaving cream, and slime! You can see a lot of our activities in motion on our Sample Daily Video Update and our Promotional Video.
New, fulfilling, lasting friendships. We see these friendships form week after week between campers with different backgrounds, interests, and even different languages! The fun of camp and the shared faith & values help to break down walls and create these meaningful connections between campers. Camp is a place where kids and teens put down their technology, enjoy the beauty of God’s creation outside, and have real conversations with others as they wait their turn on the zip line or walk to their next activity. The friendships fostered at camp are friendships built upon trust and love, and they often extend well past the shared week of camp that the campers attend.
